Reconnect to Your Vision
Why We Rebranded
The one thing that I am absolutely sure about is that authenticity will always produce relevancy. In business, oftentimes we look for ways to stay relevant when the answer really is rather simple. Just be you. Whether you have a personal brand or a product or service, moving authentically is the best way to go. But I have learned that authenticity is challenging when you don’t have a vision or you aren’t clear on your vision. If you lack vision for your product or service then you will either look to copy another company’s brand(which is actually rather difficult) in your industry or you will just be operating blindly not having a unique strategic plan to success.
Vision is necessary in any business. And you must see your vision becoming all that you imagined. Unless you visualize your vision, your dream will not be a reality. You won’t be clear on everything right away but as you pursue, more pieces to the puzzle will be uncovered. Your vision for your business will evolve over time therefore, you must evaluate it often. You won’t be able to determine goals if you don’t have a vision for what is ahead. Although you will have an overall long term vision for your business, you will always have smaller visions that will act as a stepping stone to fulfilling the greater vision.
So about our vision, Branded 1428 was established as Inner Visions Professional Vision Consulting Services. I had a clear vision for the business and I had a plan. However the challenges of entrepreneurship arose and I began to deviate from my vision in terms of how I was operating the business. At the time, I didn’t know it but it showed up in the visually pieces of the brand. Rebranding is not something that you do just for fun. It is very risky but can be rewarding if done at the proper time. Since we are still an emerging and growing business, this was a great time to reconnect to our vision and rebrand so we are moving ahead with a great level of brand clarity which will ultimately produce greater results. You will notice that our values are the same, our foundation is in tact, what we offer is still the same but we have decided to elevate our brand’s identity, message and culture. In honor of us reconnecting to our vision, we want to encourage you to stay true to how you are as a brand and reconnect to your vision if necessary. Here are a few tips to help you as you navigate your way in business:
- What are your core values? – It is important that you give significant thought to the things that will be core values for your business. What do you believe in? What principles does your business honor? You need to develop some foundational values and principles that your business will stand on no matter what. It is more than just your mantra but it will become the heartbeat of your business. For instance, is your company built on excellence, or unique customer service, or faith-based values? Whatever your values are you should make sure you honor them as you progress through your entrepreneurial journey. It will lead you to a path of success.
- What are your deal breakers? – In relationships, many people have “deal breakers” or things that will absolutely be grounds for ending a relationship. Just like in relationships you need “deal breakers” for your business. You never want to go into business working transactions, business negotiations, or partnerships and you have not identified those things that will cause you to walk away and not engage. I am a firm believer that you don’t need to seal every deal and every door or opportunity is not for you to walk through. In order to produce and maintain a successful business you must be true to your business’s identity. That may mean saying no thank you to a deal that was AMAZING but compromised the core values of your business.
- Are you chasing money or pursuing purpose with passion? – Now, you may be asking the question, isn’t the goal of entrepreneurship to make money? Well, yes it is. But I do not believe the chase for money and more money and more money should be what drives you in business but rather you pursuing your passion and purpose. You can make all the money in the world but at the end of the day if you don’t have a passion or love for what you do you will be rich and unhappy. Instead, pursue purpose and your passion and it will lead you to money and not just riches but wealth. If your focus is chasing money and the next big deal there is a high percentage that you will compromise your core values for the sake of money.
At the end of the day, if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything. Being in business is not for the faint at heart but for those who are willing to take the risk, work hard, sacrifice, and stand up for what they believe in. Being nice doesn’t make you successful but it is delivering excellence by any means necessary.
Hope these tips helped. We look forward to connecting with you!
